Exploring the transcendent power in American choral music

This is a rare opportunity to come and listen to American Choral Music performed by an authentic American Choir, whose distinctive mission integrates excellence in performance, service and cross-cultural ministry. The Northwestern Choir from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota (USA) bring with them a programme of Choral Music featuring music by American composers Caracciolo, Hagenberg, Barnum as well as spirituals and hymns including Down in the River to Pray (Mennicke), Crucifixion (Hailstork) and Battle of Jericho (Hogan).

Northwestern Choir has toured extensively around USA and the world and are delighted to bring their vocal talent to London during their UK visit. The choir's mission mirrors many of the Holy Sepulcre's own core values and this concert will explore the transcendent power of music through spirituality.

The Northwestern Choir will be conducted by Tim Sawyer and accompanied by Ju Young Lee.
