Creativi-Tea: Walks, Wonders, Parks & Places
Welcome to our collection of gentle journeys for reflection, conversation and connection, currently beginning and ending at Holy Sepulchre Church, Holborn Viaduct, London, although different journeys will continue to be added. The two currently developed are:
Journeying together to Postmans’ Park: Exploring Belonging (Details of the Route and App link here)
Journeying together to Smithfield Market: Exploring Being Attentive (Details of the Route and App link to be added shortly)
Every Creativi-Tea journey has two distinct but interconnected pathways:
The Heritage Pathway: The people, places, events, objects and stories encountered during the journey, which we aim to be interesting, accessible, relevant to the location and carefully verified.
The Wellbeing Pathway: A clear and coherent theme relevant to life today, explored progressively throughout the journey.
The two pathways each have their own identity and integrity, but they repeatedly connect through carefully created bridges. Together, the two pathways, we hope, should create something richer than either could achieve alone.
We call them “journeys” because each experience should be capable of being enjoyed, whether that is due to time availability, location, safeguarding, physical or environmental issues etc, in different ways*:
You can physically travel around the route at your own pace using the text or listen to the audio on the App
You can physically journey with others in one of our organised “travelling together journey” or join an organised “sitting together journey” gatherings here at Holy Sepulchre church. Check our WhatsOn page for further dates to sign up for future upcoming organised events
You can also sit and enjoy a virtual tour listening to the App from the comfort of the church, your office or home
Book a hosted private group journey (costs apply) for your corporate team or community group either based on one of our existing journeys or a bespoke version based on your group’s journey objectives - Book here
Each organised journey provides an opportunity to gather and chat whilst exploring the amazing history, heritage and gardens in or around the City, with a pastoral and guided presence, followed by some hospitality back at the church. Good for your mind, body and soul and community development.
Please get in touch if you are interested in getting involved and helping us to deliver our wellbeing walks. Email us at office@hsl.church
*Our aim is also to develop sensory and experiential sessions designed for those unable to participate in physical walking activities. Delivered safely within the church, these sessions use virtual reality, sound, storytelling, imagery, and tactile elements to evoke the atmosphere of the City’s gardens and landmarks. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone — regardless of age, mobility, or ability — can share in the experience of exploration and connection, and we hope that by removing physical barriers, Creativi-Tea fosters equal participation, strengthens community cohesion, and promotes wellbeing through creativity, curiosity, and shared discovery.

Wellbeing Walks
Currently we are aiming to develop five community journeys with a pastoral and guided presence, providing an opportunity to gather and chat, rotating:
•Holy Sepulchre to Postman’s Park (0.3 miles, 15mins each way)
•Holy Sepulchre to Christ Church Greyfriars (0.3 miles, 15 mins each way)
•Holy Sepulchre to West Smithfield (0.1 miles, 10 mins each way)
•Holy Sepulchre to St John’s Garden Farringdon (0.5 miles, 20 mins each way)
•Holy Sepulchre to Charterhouse Square Gardens (0.5 miles, 20 mins each way)
Also, we intend to restart our annual Beating the Bounds journey and undertake an annual journey to Postman’s Park commemorating heroic self-sacrifice. More details to follow soon.
We are also considering few possible initial groups such as:
Wellbeing Journey - Grieving Together
Wellbeing Journey - Caring Together
Wellbeing Journey - Struggling together
We are also looking for some dedicated volunteers to support us with the launch of these. Do get in touch if you would like to help organise these with us. Email us office@hsl.church if you would like to get involved.
