Morning Prayer

We hope that these morning services offer you some peace and spiritual nourishment as your day begins. We aim for the services to be around 20 minutes in duration to enable those who work nearby to get into the office or your other engagements for 9am and will be based on Common Worship.

We have morning prayer on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8.30 until 9 every week and we’d love you to join us. Keep an eye on announcements as we will soon launch live streaming of this short service so you can join us in person or online.

Tuesday’s morning prayer is held in the Musicians’ Memorial chapel. This short service will include the St Cecilia collect and we are very happy to include specific prayers for musicians, orchestras, upcoming tours and concerts etc. We would also be happy to include the blessing of instruments or a baton, or light a candle on your behalf if you are unable to join us in person.

Wednesday’s morning prayer is held at the high altar and so please sit in the choir stalls. This short service will include a collect for the City and we are very happy to include specific prayers for those who live or work in the city.   We are also happy to light a candle on your behalf if you are unable to join us in person.

Thursday’s morning prayer is held in the Royal Fusiliers Chapel and will include the regimental collects and we are very happy to include specific prayers for service men and women, whether currently serving or veterans, well or unwell or those who have died. We are also happy to light a candle on your behalf if you are unable to join us in person.

Please note, to ensure confidentiality, no names will be used openly in the prayers but a list will be placed on the altar during the services.

Please get in touch with any prayer requests or you’d like to know more about these special services. We would love you to join us if you are able.

These will be in person services only currently.
