Health, Wellbeing & Belonging through Music, Art, History & Creativity

A welcome place for all

Holy Sepulchre London — the National Musicians’ Church — is building a citywide model of community cohesion, wellbeing and creativity through a family of intergenerational, inclusive and culturally rich programmes. Each strand combines hospitality, music, storytelling, and belonging, and can be delivered in‑church for community groups, schools and groups, or packaged for schools, care homes and community centres across London.

Our unique and carefully designed programme, has been developed with our communities, including those with lived experience of isolation, poverty, and marginalisation, for our communities, with each strand reflecting the unique character and needs of our area: from celebrating the City’s rich musical and military heritage, our historical buildings and people, and our wonderful green spaces, to offering an inclusive, safe spaces for those living with dementia and other neurological conditions, carers, older residents, and local City workers who just need to escape the workplace. The programme champions excellence through professional musicians, trained City guides and oral historians, skilled facilitators and Hosts, while fostering innovation by blending live performance, participatory singing, heritage storytelling, creativity and community hospitality in a “come as you are”-friendly format. In doing so, we believe we can deliver positive social impact, building wellbeing, reducing loneliness, and connecting people to one another and to the City’s rich cultural heritage.

What makes the programme unique?

  • Rooted in hospitality: Every session involves a welcome, warmth and shared refreshment.

  • Music at the heart: Reflecting our identity as the National Musicians’ Church, music shapes every strand.

  • Intergenerational & inclusive: Designed for all ages, abilities and backgrounds, with sensory and accessible alternatives.

  • Scalable across London: Each programme in time will be developed into a ready-to-share pack so care homes, community centres and partner churches can run their own versions.

  • Cohesion through culture: We use music, art, creativity, history and storytelling to build connection, purpose and belonging.
