The Holy Sepulchre Church and LPMAM collaboration presents a weekly concert series by musicians from the Ukraine Conservatoires. Free to attend concert with retiring collection shared by the musicians and Holy Sepulchre's Music in the Community Fund. This is an in person concert only.
Holy Sepulchre, the National Musicians’ Church and the London Performing Academy of Music are excited to announce that in response to the war in Ukraine, some of the rooms, including the Henry Wood Room at the church will be used for students from the Ukraine Conservatoires to restart their studies since arriving here under the visa scheme. In addition, the intention is for the church to also be used for regular concerts to provide performance opportunities for the students and generate income to fund the collaboration.
The collaboration between Holy Sepulchre and LPMAM is in response to the war in Ukraine, and provides a place for tuition, rehearsals and concerts for musicians from the Ukraine Conservatoires (https://hsl.church/give)

Lalita Melenchuk, viola
Lalita is a 21 years old violist from Kharkiv, Ukraine.
She is the winner of several international competitions, including 1st Prize at the I international festival-competition named after Bogodar Kotorovich “Maestro-Fest”, Music Talent Award at the Gifted Youth International Competition, XIV International “Kharkiv Assemblies”, Tchaikovsky Festival in Trostyanets and Lugansk Contest-Festival. She studied at the Kotliarevsky Kharkiv National University and performed at the masterclasses of Y.Tkanov (Kyiv), A. Below (Austria), M.Risanov (UK) and V.Mikita (Germany). She has been a student of Prof.Hana Gubenko at LPMAM since October 2021.
Anastasiia Matsko, piano
Anastasiia is a 19 years old pianist-organist from Druzhkivka, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. She has been studying music since I was 7 years old, specializing in piano. After graduating from music college with honors, Anastasiia entered the Karabits Bakhmut Musical College. She is the winner of 1st and 2nd prizes at all-Ukrainian and international competitions and received a diploma with honors as junior specialist, ensemble artist and accompanist. In 2021 she entered the Kharkiv National University of Arts in piano and organ with full academic scholarship.
Kirill Panchenko, trumpet
Kirill is a 20 years old trumpet player from Kharkiv. He was studying in the second year of Kharkiv University of Arts named after I.P. Kotlyarevsky when the war started. He was a member of the Kharkiv Academy Orchestra and of the Youth Academic Symphony Orchestra “Slobozhansky”. He is a recipient of full scholarship for the Trentino Music Festival, were he performed with students from all Europe and America as principal trumpet of the festival orchestra.
Marina Vosmirova, guitar
Marina is a 20 years old student from Sumy, Ukraine. She started music school at 7 years old and won her first competition at 12. She took part in many competitions and concerts, playing on the stage of Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Vilnius. She was also first part in guitar orchestra, duo and quartet and has experience in teaching, conducting and writing scores. She was first year undergraduate at the Kharkiv National Academy of Arts, studying with professor Dotsenko Vladimir Igorevich when the war started.
Yuliia Humenyuk, accordion
Julia was a 4th year bachelor student of the Kharkiv I.P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts when the war started. Her main instrument is the accordion, studying under the guidance of the head department of Folk Instruments I. Snedkov and Prof.A.Hetman. She also plays the dulcimer and the piano as second studies, and she is a student of Prof. V.Kysil for orchestra and conducting. She has been a soloist of the folklore ensemble "Vencerada", where she played the dulcimer and performed all around Ukraine and Lithuania.
Andrii Barannik, jazz singer
Andrii is a 19 years old jazz singer from Kharkiv He attended several competitions, winning many first places and several Grand Prix. He started learning guitar and singing at 6 years old, and has performed in many groups and in the jazz orchestra Slatina in Kharkiv. Andrii also taught guitar in the private school “Solovey” before the war started.
Lola Marchenko, oboe
Lolita was a 20 years old undergraduate student of Lviv National Academy of Music named after. M.V. Lysenko, specialization in orchestral woodwind and percussion instruments when the war started. She was also the Secretary of Student Self-Government of the Lviv National Academy of Music, and head of the chummery, responsible for the settlement of refugees from eastern Ukraine. She is a Laureate of the All-Ukrainian competition of wind and percussion victors “Sofievsky Surmy”, Uman city (III place), 2nd Prize at “Dniprovsky Surmi” competition in Dnipro, 1st Prize at “Your Dream” Kropyvnytskyi city.
Maxim Artyomenko, piano
Maksim is a 19 years old pianist from Kharkiv. He started piano at 6 years old and he was at his 3rd year of bachelor at the Kharkiv University of Arts under the guidance of prof. O.V. Fekete when the war started. He won several international competitions in such cities as: Kharkiv (Cherny Competition, “Kharkov Assemblies”) Zaporozhye (“Chords of Khortitsa”, 1st prize), Narva (Chopin Competition).
Ernest Syrota guitar
Ernest is a 21years old from Kamianske in the Dnepropetrovsk region. He started music school at 7, and continued his studies at the music college of Kamianske, where he performed as soloist, in quartet and solo with orchestra. Since his 3rd year of college he started working as guitar teacher, having achieved now 4 years work experience with children, while winning guitar competitions in Ukraine and Hungary.
Anton Pastushok, double bass
Anton is a 25 years old double bass player from Kiev, Ukraine. He performed in orchestra and chamber music, with solo concerto including Bruch’s “Kol Nidre” with the Tchaikovsky Academy String Orchestra, Quanzhou New Year Concert in Fujian and tour of China, Tunisia, Poland, Russia, Italy. He started his studies at the Musical College in Khmelnytsk and graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine before joining the LPMAM in the class of Valentina Ciardelli in October 2021.
Nikita Vikhorev, violin
Nikita is a 21 years old violist from Odesa, Ukraine. He graduated in violin and conducting at the Nikholaiv College of Music Art before joining the London Performing Academy of Music for the Undergraduate Performance program at the Kharkiv university. He performed extensively as soloist for Classical and Crossover, with recitals in television broadcast, including the opening of the concert season in Kharko.
Yuliia Mats, piano
Yuliia is a 19 years old pianist from Kharkiv, Ukraine. She graduated with honours from the Kharkiv Mozart Music School in piano, vocal, guitar, and played in the percussion orchestra on the vibraphone, winning several competitions in each instrument and full scholarship to continue her studies at the Kharkiv Secondary Specialized Music School. She is now a student at the Kharkiv National University of Arts, with scholarship for high academic performance. She is the winner of many international competitions, such as the “Feurich-Virtuos” in Lviv, Chopin Piano Competition in Narva, Kharkiv Assemblies Music Competition.
