Join us for special Choral Evensong 5.15pm Wednesday 2nd July 2025, with music by American Composers to celebrate the 249th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and our many historic relationships with America.

-Virginia and New England with Captain John Smith, and Rhode Island with Roger Williams

-Lord Dartmouth, George Legge, the Royal Fusiliers founding Colonel, whose mother, Elizabeth Washington, was related to George Washington, the first President of the United States.

-Major John André, a British officer captured and executed as a spy during the Revolutionary War

-James Norman Hall, an American author best known for Mutiny on the Bounty, who was a Royal Fusiliers in World War I
