Mezzo-soprano Sarah Anne Champion is an established performer of Opera, Oratorio, Recital and Consort Singing. She is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where, in 2019, she completed her Masters with distinction and was awarded the Nancy Nuttall Early Music Prize.
Operatically, Sarah has worked with Waterperry Opera Festival since their inaugural season in 2018, performing Julia Bertram in Dove’s Mansfield Park. Recent highlights as a concert soloist include performing for the Oxford International Song Festival’s 'Spring Song' in 2022 and as a Soloist for Bach’s Mass in B Minor at the Cadogan Hall in 2023.
Sarah also sings with several groups of critical acclaim: The Marian Consort, Fieri Consort and Dunedin Consort. Recent projects include two discs, premiering the recently discovered works of both Lusitano and Casulana, and performances for the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall; appearing live on Radio 3's In Tune and at The Wigmore Hall.
British soprano Elizabeth Stock graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2017 and enjoys a varied career in Opera, Recital and Oratorio, and as member of professional church choirs and ensembles. She lives in London and studies with Ashley Stafford and Pamela Kuhn.
Roles include Freia (Das Rheingold), Blanche de la Force (Diologues des Carmélites), Hermione (Die ägyptische Helena) with Fulham Opera, and Emmie (Albert Herring) with New Palace Opera. As a chorus member, Elizabeth has recently performed in Semele with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in China, and both La Traviata and La Forza del Destino with Regents Opera.
Elizabeth is looking forward to performing in New Palace Opera’s production of The Rake’s Progress later this year.
Leo Nicholson specialises in chamber music and song accompaniment. In 2016 he received the Accompanist Prize at the Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards, accompanying bass-baritone Sam Carl. He has a long-standing duo with flautist Rosanna Ter-Berg, and their critically acclaimed Purcell Room début (under the auspices of the Park Lane Group)led to performances at Wigmore Hall and the Bridgewater Hall, and an album, ‘Epigraphes’, released in 2015.
Leo studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, where he continues to work as a staff accompanist. He regularly appears at British music societies, and also works as an orchestral pianist, and in theatre and opera. He also performs with the six-piano group Piano Circus. Leo is a Samling Artist.
