Weekly Concert with LPMAM Ukrainian Refugee Music Students

The Holy Sepulchre Church and LPMAM collaboration presents a weekly concert series by musicians from the Ukraine Conservatoires. Free to attend concert with retiring collection shared by the musicians and Holy Sepulchre's Music in the Community Fund. This is an in person concert only.

Anastasia Rud, piano

Anastasiia is a 18 years old pianist from Kharkiv. She was finishing the 11th grade at the Kharkiv State Musical Lyceum when the war started. Anastasiia is a laureate and diploma winner of various all-Ukrainian and international competitions and has performed both as soloist and in chamber music formations. “I am inspired by the music of Bach, Chopin, Scriabin, Haydn, I also like Ukrainian composers who continue the traditions in the world of musical art, bringing an original national element to the treasury of musical achievements.”

Anastasiia Matsko, piano

Anastasiia is a 19 years old pianist-organist from Druzhkivka, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. She has been studying music since I was 7 years old, specializing in piano. After graduating from music college with honors, Anastasiia entered the Karabits Bakhmut Musical College. She is the winner of 1st and 2nd prizes at all-Ukrainian and international competitions and received a diploma with honors as junior specialist, ensemble artist and accompanist. In 2021 she entered the Kharkiv National University of Arts in piano and organ with full academic scholarship.

Nikita Vikhorev, violin

Nikita is a 21 years old violist from Odesa, Ukraine. He graduated in violin and conducting at the Nikholaiv College of Music Art before joining the London Performing Academy of Music for the Undergraduate Performance program at the Kharkiv university. He performed extensively as soloist for Classical and Crossover, with recitals in television broadcast, including the opening of the concert season in Kharko.

Christian Trapanese, guitar

Christian is a 23 years old student from Cava dei Tirreni, Italy. He began his studies under the guidance of Nicola Montella and obtained his first degree in classical guitar at the conservatory Giuseppe Martucci of Salerno in the class of Sergio Cantella. Christian performed numerous concerts and was selected to participate in the masterclasses of Lorenzo Michele, Andrea de Vitis, Giampaolo Bandini and Frederic ZIgante among others.

Giulio Cecchi, guitar

Giulio is an Italian guitarist currently teaching-internship at LPMAM. He started studying guitar with Diego Lopilato and Flavio Cucchi, and after his bachelor’s degree at Fiesole Music Academy with Silvano Mazzoni, he completed a master degree at the Vecchi-Tonelli Musical Institute in Modena, where he studied with Andrea Dieci. Giulio has won several guitar competitions including first prize at “Città di Moncalieri”European Music Competition, “G. Rospigliosi”National Competition and London Classical Music Competition. His guitar-flute duo with Emma Longo has received several awards, including first prize at Premio “G.Alberghini”, Florence Guitar Competition and “Crescendo”Competition. He teaches guitar at Caruso Musical Accademy in Lastra a Signa (Florence)and at Artes Music School in Prato.

Holy Sepulchre, the National Musicians’ Church and the London Performing Academy of Music are excited to announce that in response to the war in Ukraine, some of the rooms, including the Henry Wood Room at the church will be used for students from the Ukraine Conservatoires to restart their studies since arriving here under the visa scheme. In addition, the intention is for the church to also be used for regular concerts to provide performance opportunities for the students and generate income to fund the collaboration.

The collaboration between Holy Sepulchre and LPMAM is in response to the war in Ukraine, and provides a place for tuition, rehearsals and concerts for musicians from the Ukraine Conservatoires (https://hsl.church/give)
