Prayer

When we pray we are talking to God. Christians have the mind-blowing privilege of being able to approach God freely and confidently in prayer. We talk to him as our father and can ask for his presence and help in all areas of our lives and world. We believe that praying is one of the most exciting and impactful things that we can do and we try and make space for prayer in everything that we do as a church.

Prayer plays an important role in all our services and Groups. We set aside time for intercessory prayer (asking God to help us, or others, in particular ways or situations), either spoken from the front or led in a more interactive way. We usually have time for ‘prayer ministry’, in which those who want have a chance to ask members of our team to pray with them about specific things, asking the Holy Spirit to help them.

‘ And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.’ Ephesians 6:18
